Recognition of Service to KSCLS
The Kentucky Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (KSCLS) is the Kentucky Chapter of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS). Kentucky is one of four states in ASCLS Region IV, which also includes Indiana, Michigan, & Ohio. ASCLS mission is to promote higher standards in clinical laboratory methods and research, to elevate the status of those specializing in medical laboratory techniques, and to create cooperation among medical technologists and all others who are employed in the interests of individual and public health.
Professor Phil Campbell has been active in the ASCLS and KSCLS for many years. In April, he was recognized at the Kentucky Annual meeting of KSCLS for his service to the organization as President for the past two years. Phil is quoted as saying, “Service to your professional organization if a great way to give back to the professional. Through my involvement with ASCLS and KSCLS, I have made many friends and have been able to assist the laboratory professionals of our state in their need for continuing education through my involvement on the state meeting planning committee.”
