Want to make a difference in the lives of many Medical Laboratory Science students? 

EKU Medical Laboratory Science graduates are healthcare practitioners who play a critical role in conducting essential laboratory analyses for the diagnosis of diseases and management of human health, as about 70% of all medical decisions are based on laboratory testing. This scholarship was established by Dr. David and Beverly Hufford to help students become Medical Laboratory Science Practitioners and contribute significantly to the health of Kentuckians

Dr. David Hufford was a certified Medical Laboratory Scientist and infectious disease microbiologist for 42 years. He retired as EKU Emeritus Faculty in 2011.
